Korg Wave Station Patch Editor Kiwi
Jan 1, 2002 - To help you take advantage of all that sonic potential, Sonar XL includes several DX Instruments, including Audio Simulation's DreamStation, Roland's Virtual Sound Canvas, and Applied Acoustics' Tassman (an Editors' Choice award winner last year). For processing audio, Cakewalk throws in its Audio FX. About KORG; Home. WaveStation Sound Editor 2.5.1 is free to download from our software library. Our built-in antivirus checked this download and rated it as virus free. The actual developer of the program is SoundTower Inc. The default filename for the program's installer is WaveSt32.Exe. The most popular versions among WaveStation Sound Editor users are 2.5.
The Kiwitechnics Patch Editor has been designed to add hardware controls for live use to vintage synths that were skimpy in the knob department.
Supported synths include:
Korg DW-6000(1), DW-8000/EX-8000, M1KiwiTechnics 3P Upgrade, Roland JX-3P(2)Juno 1, 2, 106, MKS-7, MKS-50, MKS-70Updated(3)Roland MKS-80Updated, JX-8P(4), JX-10(5)MKS-80 patch now supports all the controls of the MPG-80Sequential Circuits SixTrak, Max(6), Cheetah MS6(7)Oberheim Matrix 1000(8), Waldorf Pulse, Q/Q+Moog Slim & Little Phatty, MidiCC to Sysex translation
Patching a synth through a menu-based system kept the cost of these synths down, but is cumbersome and a barrier to live use.
The Kiwitechnics Patch Editor is priced at NZ $450 (around US $350, as of this post). See the Kiwitechnics site for details.
This is an interesting alternative to software-based custom MIDI controllers for touchscreen controllers and vintage dedicated patch controllers.
If you’ve used the Kiwitechnics Patch Editor, leave a comment with your impressions of it!

Here is a repertory including actual and discontinued commercial soundbanks that I collected since 25 years from ROM cartridges or floppy disks.
For each of them you'll find comments about company or sounddesigner and a detailed patchlist. Several of them also include image(s) from the original support.
This collection is not complete, if you have material that is not listed here, I would be largely interested in
This page is organized in two sections:
1°/ ROM cartridges & floppy disks collection
2°/ Missing soundbanks (I mean the material that I'm still searching for...)

They produced a total of 8 ROM cards for the WS model, most of them programmed by Manny Fernandez.
They also distributed 3 additional ROM cards especially programmed for the WS EX, SR & A/D models and using their respective additional features.
