Sim City 3000 Language Patch
Hey guys - I'm having problems running SimCity 3000 Unlimited on my machine. Back when I had Windows 98, this game ran without a problem, but on XP, the games runs really, really slowly. Apparently, there is no easy way to change the interface language of SimCity. I had installed it via Origin on Windows 7 system. OS interface is in English, but locale is different, therefore, Origin had its interface in my native language, and installed SimCity localized as well.

SimCity 3000 UnlimitedApps? Have you tried running it as admin? What exactly is the issue, does it run but not list higher resolutions in the settings, or does it crash?
EDIT: I've tried it and I'm getting a module not foun error, is this the same issue you're having?

EDIT2: Try this new version Sorry for late reply.I downloaded the new version. After I unzip the SCU3_HD_patch file doesn't do anything. I did notice I now have a 'SC3U1' exe file which starts the game, but I only see a black screen. I can see just the right side of the intro but once the menu starts the screen is black.
SC3U1.exe is a copy of the original .exe
2: Make sure python 2.7 is installed in your current Windows system
2.1: You can download it at (https://www.python.org/downloads/) to your current OS in order to make this script work
3: Dowload my script(https://github.com/tetration/Simcity3000_Language_Selector/archive/master.zip) you havent done so.
4:Place this python script in the same Res folder of Simcity 3000.4.1:Windows version: Folder can be located in something like C:GOGSimcity 3000 UnlimitedAppsRes4.12:Linux version: Folder location can be located in something like homeusrSimCity3000 UnlimitedRes
5: Run the script(SCU3_Language_selector.py) by left-clicking twice on it
6: Enjoy running the game in your native tongue!Observations:-The Script will make a backup file of the original executable(SC3U1.exe) of the game before making any changes in it
FAQ:
Why your script wont run and say that its not in the right directory? I placed it inside my main Simcity 3000 Folder!!!
You placed in the wrong directory you are supposed to place it inside the 'Res' directory which is located in the Simcity 3000 Folder
The script only works in the Linux and Windows versions of this game!
