Hi there guys! I know everyone's talking about RE7 recently but I hope someone can help me.
I purchased RE5, after finishing it countless times on other systems, during a Steam sale months ago. I now have a new computer, two Xbox One pads and wanted to play the whole thing on PC with my cousin.
Re Resident Evil 5
The issue is: the game asked to install Games For Windows Live which we all know is dead!
I pressed the button to stop the installation as I know it's down and for the fact that I don't want that crap on my PC, plus I know the game has been ported to Steamworks ages ago.
Thing is if I try to open it now there's a DOS like windows flashing for a second then it doesn't open. I could re-run prerequisites and install it but isn't there a way to open the game without keeping that crap on my PC?

Can't beleive it's 2017 and I still need to think about GFWL on my computer despite the game ditching it and being ported to Steamworks...
